had some extra time before i had to leave the house so i thought i'd share some interesting things i've been looking at:
Complex recently had a lengthy post on hip-hop songs that are 10+ minutes long. Insightful blurbs as well as streaming mp3s for 25 (!) songs, many from obscure or unheard of artists, but also including the like of Lil Wayne, Too $hort, Game (whose recent "400 Bars" inspired Complex's post), Digital Underground, The Roots, Beastie Boys, Kanye, and Joe Budden(s). sit back, and take in some bizarre/ill moments from hip-hop history, or just put some of these on while you're doing other things. it's a trip, you catch lines here and there and sort of follow it, but you're like "this song's still on?" check it out here:

A very long, but equally revealing and captivating article on Scott Storch, sheds some light on why we haven't heard from him in a while:

Also taken from complex, Great, long, interview with Wiz Khalifa:

i'll post more stuff later...

it's about time comedians started doing mixtapes...
just when i thought i couldn't love Aziz Ansari any more than i already do, he fucks around and does some shit like this. apparently he is doing a mixtape with TV on The Radio's Dave Sitek (?lol?). in the above clip, he goes off on a plethora of big name rappers for their laziness. it's hilarious, but he also shows he knows what the fuck he's talking about. peep game.
if you've been sleeping on Aziz, and Raaaaaaandy (with 8 As), now is the time to wake up. below he sums up his feeling on mixtape release dates.

Almost everyone's gone over Gucci Man's Lemonade beat. Big Sean's version stands out amongst the crowd. He made a video for it.. peep it. Dudes swagger is ridiculous in this.
