K-os

I recently realized that one of my favorite musicians released an album in 09 and I didn't even know. For those of you who aren't familiar with the musical genius known as K-OS this post is to peep you to this amazing Canadian artist. With the explosion of Drake in the U.S, I feel its the perfect time to give credit to another Canadian artist that I feel has been slept on for far too long. I first heard this musician watching MTV in a hotel room in Paris. From there I downloaded his cd Atlantis: Hymns for Disco. I would describe his music as N.E.R.D meets weird church soul reggae music. In otherwords his music is completely original and organic. He plays most if not all the instruments in all his tracks and is also a producer/ rapper. This man does it all. The album is called Yes!. I am currently looking for a working download link of the album, but I may decide to not even put it up and just put youtube videos of the songs off the album up. I usually don't care but I kindof want people too support this musician and what he's doing. He's definitely an inspiration to me and what I'm doing in music.
